Classic Oils
is a company offering a complete range of oils, lubricants and accessories
for all classic, veteran and vintage vehicles, including motorcycles,
steam vehicles and earlier diesel engines.
Modern
lubricants do not suit older vehicles since they are designed for high
oil pressure and temperature engines. Older vehicles do not operate at
these pressures and therefore require oils specially blended for such
requirements. Engines were designed/built to suit the blend of oils available
at the time, whereas modern engines can be designed and the oils blended
to suit that design.
Classic Oils
specialise in supplying a range of Penrite, Morris and Shell products,
designed and blended for the older vehicles. These products provide increased
oil pressure and ingredients to reduce 'gumming' and 'sludge' deposits
within the engine.
- Penrite of Australia manufacture in the blend of oils from 1900
to 1979.
- Morris Lubricants UK manufacture in the blend of oils from 1930
to current day including steam oils.
- Shell manufacture and blend from 1940 to present day including ancillary
items such as brake and power steering fields.
Virtually every product requirement is met by these manufacturers
for engine transmission, shock absorbers, steering boxes, gearboxes, carburettors,
2/4 stroke motorcycles and general purpose. In addition a range of grease
products are offered for water pumps, bearings and general cleaning purposes.
All classic oils are
supplied pre-packed in approved containers and normally available from
stock. They can be collected by arrangement, or delivered by our approved
carrier (for an additional charge), or purchased from the many auto-jumble
fairs that we attend.
Empty oil containers are also offered
to drain the old and used oil from the engine prior to using the new oil.
By law any used oil must be disposed of safely and environmentally in
approved Council Waste Depots.
